My academic career has consisted of international as well as national schooling. While I was a young adult, I lived in Sweden and traveled extensively throughout Europe.
Through this experience, I gained a new knowledge of educational systems in other countries. When I returned to the United States, I was compelled to seek the education necessary to become a teacher. Knowing that special education was my initial passion, I developed a strong bond and love for the education of special students.
My education grades and transcripts are a fitting example of this bond. I believe that administrators need to have a diverse mixture of experience from which to draw their knowledge. These summer jobs have taught me and will continue to teach me innovative ways to spark the desire to be a leader in children and adults.
These programs not only enriched my own leadership skills, but helped foster leadership qualities in children. Throughout my four years of teaching and administering special education services to seventh and eighth graders, I have come to realize that there are many facets of education that need to be altered for the good of our students and teachers.
Hence, my desire to become an administrator is real; I seek to gain knowledge that will enhance my ability to bring peaceful change and modification to the general education and special education worlds.
With this new-found knowledge, I would be able to successfully and appropriately make intelligent modifications to the structure of specific programs that continue to plague schools. With concrete goals in mind, I am confident that the administration graduate degree would help me make conscientious progress toward my professional goals.
In order to bridge my undergraduate education and my successful performance as an educator, I recognize that the educational administration graduate program would be most beneficial. I anticipate the opportunity to learn about organizational theory in education, about planning, budgeting and evaluation and about educational law.
With the culmination of such topics and additional issues, the department of educational administration surely must produce premier educational experts that will continue to make the education of all children a top priority. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to become an educational expert as well.
I am eager to face the challenge of a program that educates people on how to become improved leaders, generate positive changes and create educational environments that are productive for both staff and students.
I feel confident that with my educational background in social relations and elementary education, along with my years of public school teaching, entering into the K educational administration program will help me become not only a better teacher, but a better leader, listener, advocate and administrator in educating youth. How to write a personal statement for Masters courses A good personal statement can mean the difference between getting an offer and being rejected.
